The Community Arts Center (typically) observes the City of Wilmington's Holiday Closing Schedule. Please check out our Facebook page about weather closings/delays and other non-holiday closures.

The Community Arts Center is closed the following dates for 2017:

  • Christmas (December 25, 26)
  • Annual Cleaning ( Dec 27-Dec 31) Not a COW Holiday

The Community Arts Center is closed the following dates for 2018:

  • New Years Day (January 1)
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (January 15)
  • Good Friday (March 30)
  • Memorial Day (May 28)
  • Independence Day (July 4) CAC hosts an annual 4th of July Celebration with special hours
  • Labor Day (September 3)
  • Veterans’ Day (November 12) CAC Remains Open with special hours
  • Thanksgiving (November 22, 23, 24)
  • Christmas (December 24, 25, 26)
  • Annual Cleaning ( Dec 27-Dec 31) Not a COW Holiday

Our Management

The Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center is managed by the staff of the The Thalian Association, the Official Community Theater of North Carolina.

The Thalian Association is a non-profit, membership organization founded in 1788 to provide arts education and bring the excitement of the performing arts to Wilmington. The organization has its offices and holds auditions at the Community Arts Center.  The Center also hosts the Thalian Children's Theater classes and performances.

Patrons of the HBHUSO/Community Arts Center can park in the surface lot conveniently located next to the building.


Parking Rates:

- Hourly: $1.25
- Daily: $7.00
- Monthly: $50.00
